What is an International Language Exchange event ?
During an International Language Exchange event, you will have the opportunity to practice one or more languages ​​by interacting with the different participants.

What languages ​​are represented during the event ?
We never know in advance the languages ​​that are represented during the event but it is certain that the participants come from different countries.

Can I arrive after the event start time?
Yes of course. But don’t arrive too late to take advantage of the event.

Is the event free for students ?
Yes, the event is free for students.

What should I do when I first come to the event ?
Go and see the local organizer who will explain how the event works and will be happy to answer all your questions.

I work and I study. How do I know if I am considered a student or a non-student ?
If you spend more time studying, you are considered a student. And vice versa.

I am a non-student. Can I buy my ticket on site ?
Yes, but it is better to buy a ticket online for both security (it is better if the local organizer does not carry too much cash) and organization (the local organizer should focus on other tasks) reasons. Please note that annual membership must be subscribed online.

I bought my ticket online. Where can I find it ?
Right after the online transaction, you will normally receive an email from Place Sociale or Evenbrite (depending on where you placed the order). This is your ticket ! If you have not received this email, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact form.

What should I do when I arrive at the event ?
Go and see the local organizer who will proceed to your registration by giving you a yellow sticker.

I have no yellow clothing or accessories. What should I do ?
You can order a yellow bandana online which will be directly given to you by the local organizer.

How do I cancel the renewal of an annual membership ?
Just send us a message using the contact form and we will proceed to cancel the renewal of your annual membership.

I bought a ticket online but I can’t come to the event. Is it possible to be reimbursed ?
Yes of course. Just send us a message using the contact form and we’ll issue a refund.

How many events do you organize per year ?
Outside of public holidays or exceptional closure of the venue, the event is organized every week. This represents more than 40 events per year.

Why is the event paying for non-students ?
We ask for a financial contribution from non-students to finance the organization of the event (payment for the services of the local organizer and the promotion of the event). Part of the funds collected are also used to finance access to education for children in different countries. On this same idea, the event is free for students.

Why do I have to register before coming to the event ?
For organizational reasons (informing participants of any last minute changes), it is important to register before coming to the event. You have the possibility to register on any web platform where the event is published.

Can I subscribe to an annual membership on site?
No. You must subscribe to an annual membership online. Right after the online transaction, you will normally receive an email from Place Sociale. This is your receipt confirming your annual membership. If you have not received this email, please do not hesitate to contact us using the contact form.

When and for how long is my annual membership valid ?
Annual membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
